End of Year Giving Supports KGOU and Public Service Media

This is the Manager’s Minute.

As we near the end of the year, we want to thank everyone who listened to KGOU in 2018.

Before you finish your holiday parties, put away the decorations and make your new year’s resolutions, we hope you’ll consider making a donation to KGOU.

For a lot of people, including those over 70 who must make a required minimum distribution from their Individual Retirement Accounts each year, December 31st is the deadline to make a tax deductible gift for 2018.

It’s easy to do – you can give anytime through our secure online form at KGOU.org. Your support will help pay for stories and programs you’ll hear in 2019.

If you’ve already given – thanks! If you haven’t we hope you’ll consider the value you get from KGOU and NPR every day, and donate.

We can’t do this without you.

Best wishes for a happy and prosperous 2019.

Until next time, with the Manager’s Minute, I’m Dick Pryor.

Dick Pryor has more than 30 years of experience in public service media, having previously served as deputy director, managing editor, news manager, news anchor and host for OETA, Oklahoma’s statewide public TV network. He was named general manager of KGOU Radio in November 2016.
