Give to KGOU

How Curious launch event

This is the Manager’s Minute.

When I’m out and about seeing friends, attending public events and speaking to groups I’m pleased to learn how many people listen to KGOU.

Often, they tell me it’s the only radio station they listen to; some even say they enjoy the Manager’s Minute. That’s always nice to hear.

Listener loyalty means a lot. It says the people we serve, you, appreciate what we do.

If you feel that way, if you value KGOU and NPR, support us. Contributions from listeners, like you, power KGOU so we can deliver news, information, entertaining jazz and blues, and thoughtful, stimulating discussion.

The largest part of our funding comes from our members. More and more people are becoming sustaining members who contribute a regular amount each month.

So, do more than listen – give. Find out more and pledge online at kgou.org.

Thanks.

Until next time, with the Manager’s Minute, I’m Dick Pryor.

Dick Pryor has more than 30 years of experience in public service media, having previously served as deputy director, managing editor, news manager, news anchor and host for OETA, Oklahoma’s statewide public TV network. He was named general manager of KGOU Radio in November 2016.
