Key Information Online at KGOU.org

KGOU Coverage Map

I’m Dick Pryor, and this is the Manager’s Minute.

Broadcast stations have certain reporting obligations as part of their compliance with Federal Communications Commission and Corporation for Public Broadcasting rules.

You can find some of these reports in the Key Information section under the ABOUT tab at KGOU.org.

There, you can access dates, times and locations of OU Board of Regents meetings, ownership reports, recent financial reports, Equal Employment Opportunity reports, and a summary of local content and services.

We also provide links to our guidelines for editorial integrity, and by March first, you’ll be able access our FCC-required public inspection file.

That file shows current licenses, the quarterly Issues and Programs lists, contour maps, the Public and Broadcasting Manual and more. The information provided is for our full-power transmitters - KGOU in Norman, KROU in Spencer/Oklahoma City, KOUA in Ada, KWOU in Woodward and KQOU in Clinton - licensed to the University of Oklahoma.

If you need further information, contact me at manager@kgou.org.

Until next time, with the Manager’s Minute, I’m Dick Pryor.

Dick Pryor has more than 30 years of experience in public service media, having previously served as deputy director, managing editor, news manager, news anchor and host for OETA, Oklahoma’s statewide public TV network. He was named general manager of KGOU Radio in November 2016.
