KGOU And StateImpact Oklahoma Staffs Win Awards

(L-R): Logan Layden of StateImpact Oklahoma, Jacob McCleland, Brian Hardzinski and Kate Carlton Greer from KGOU with their and other staff awards at the Society of Professional Journalists Oklahoma Pro Chapter awards dinner, April 30, 2016.

May 22, 2016

This is from the Manager's Desk.

This week, I am recognizing the KGOU and StateImpact Oklahoma staff who have won awards for content. Last February the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters presented KGOU with two Outstanding Achievement awards for General News and Special Programming.

And recently, the Society of Professional Journalists Oklahoma Pro Chapter presented KGOU seventeen awards and StateImpact Oklahoma nine awards.

KGOU received six First Place, ten Second Place and one Third Place awards. StateImpact Oklahoma received three First Place, two Second Place and four Third Place awards.

These are folks you hear each week: Jacob McCleland, Kate Carlton Greer, Brian Hardzinski, Rebecca Cruise and Sam Des Prez from World Views, Logan Layden and Joe Wertz.

Here's a list of this year’s awards. The KGOU and StateImpact staff do exceptional work, and it is a result of your investment in KGOU. This is among the ways how your donation is spent.

Thanks!

From the Manager’s Desk, I’m Karen Holp.
