From Friday, August 2 - August 25, art students and teachers are collaborating on this inaugural show featuring work from new and established artists from across the metro. Donations will be accepted throughout the month that will go back to art programs in local schools.
“There are a lot of deficits for art programs across the state that would benefit from every little bit of contribution,” said Eric Osborn, event organizer and Oklahoma art teacher. “I’m so proud of the abilities and techniques my group of young artists have acquired and I think it would be a shame for people to not see their work.”
This show will support educators and budding creators through the gathering of contributions and supplies necessary for their continued success in art programs. Local students will be promoted by having their art recognized in the exhibition.
“You will see a variety of compositions and media in this gallery,” said Osborn. “As art appreciators, we have a chance to learn that we have a lot of young people with technique and talent that would benefit our community of artists in the state.”
This exhibition creates an environment for the Oklahoma community at large to understand how important art is to young people and educators alike.
