Herb Alpert and his wife, the Grammy award-winning vocalist Lani Hall, and their gifted band - Michael Shapiro on drums, Hussain Jiffry on bass and Bill Cantos on piano - are to perform an eclectic set, covering some of Herb and Lani's classics from their Tijuana Brass and Brasil '66 days to Cole Porter, The Beatles and improvisational jazz tunes. The show is a multi-media experience that includes career-spanning video footage of classic moments from the pair's life and careers.
Herb Alpert was drawn to the trumpet at the age of eight. His musical talent has earned him five #1 hits, nine Grammy awards, fifteen Gold albums, fourteen Platinum albums and over 72 million records sold.
Lani Hall is a Grammy Award winning vocalist who began her professional singing career in 1966 - the same year she and Herb Alpert met.
The pair will bring their love of performance (and one another) to the Tower Theater in Oklahoma City on October 16th for an 8 p.m. showcase.
