Brad Fielder will be featured performer for an evening of "Good, Old-Fashioned, Back-Porch Fun" designed for singers, songwriters, poets, and music lovers. Fielder can be heard on "The Before Times" and other albums. This free event is sponsored by the McBride Center for Public Humanities at Oklahoma Christian University as the 19th annual event for the center, which has brought to Oklahoma guests including novelist Marilynne Robinson, poets Dana Gioia and Robert Pinsky, playwright David Henry Hwang, and author Bryan Stevenson. Seating is free, open, and FCFS. The Center is funded by endowment gifts of alumni, family, and friends of campus legends Bailey and the late Joyce McBride. Endowment gifts for events also have been provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
