The State Department of Education says it is throwing out all less than satisfactory student scores after a series of failures disrupted student testing in April.
ECapitol'sChrisitie Southern reports a study of the testing failure evaluated all students who had an interruption regardless of the day. The testing system malfunctioned April 29th and April 30th.
Assistant State Superintendent Maridyth McBee said the data show the effect of the disruption on students' score was "neither widespread nor large."
The state education department says it will not report scores for affected students who scored limited knowledge or unsatisfactory.
CTB/McGraw-Hill is the company responsible for the malfunctions. It paid for the study as part if its settlement for the testing failure.
