On Tuesday, Dr. Anthony Fauci warned that young people with coronavirus are seeing “more and more complications.” He disputed rumors that young people were less likely to suffer harsh symptoms or were even immune, claims that health officials raced to correct.

Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis recently announced that there has been a decline in the median age of coronavirus cases in the state.

As NPR’S Greg Allen reports:

“What we’ve seen now has been a really significant increase in positive test results for people in the 20s and 30s,” he said. The median age of those testing positive in Florida has declined rapidly, going from 65 in April to under 30 now in some counties. “Our cases are shifting in a radical direction younger,” DeSantis said.

We talk to Dr. Temple Robinson in Tallahassee, Florida about how coronavirus affects young people.
