KGOU's Annual Financial Audit

This is from the Manager’s Desk.

Each year, KGOU undergoes a complete financial audit by an independent and very professional auditor. We do this for two main reasons.

First, it is a requirement of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to have an external audit each year in order to receive our annual grant.

But over the years, I have come to really appreciate the second reason. Each year, I post the audit on our web page. All the information is there in a PDF that you can down load.

For me it gives KGOU transparency that I think is extremely important. Listeners and business support KGOU and this report details how your funds come into the station and how we spend the funds to provide this broadcast and digital service.

The audit is complete, and I posted the financial report here.

Thanks!  From the Manager’s Desk, I’m Karen Holp.

Karen earned her Master (1974) and Bachelor (1972) degrees from the University of Akron in Ohio, and has worked as Program Director at WMRA-FM, James Madison University in Harrisonburg Virginia and WUIS-FM, University of Illinois at Springfield. She moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico in 1979 to become General Manager of KRWG-FM.
