New KGOU Host for ATC

KGOU Radio
Richard Bassett

This is the Manager’s Minute.

I have a couple of items for you this week.

First, thanks to everyone who contributed during our Fall fundraiser. More than one-thousand of our listeners invested in KGOU by becoming a member or renewing their membership.

Right now we are at 97% of our goal.

KGOU has well over 80,000 weekly listeners, so if you’re one of them, but haven’t donated, there’s still time, and still the need to step up and show your support.

Just go to kgou.org and click on the red donate tab.

Also, we want to welcome a familiar voice to a new role.

Richard Bassett has been KGOU’s community events calendar producer for three years, but recently, he moved into a full-time position as host and social media coordinator.

Richard made his mark as an OU student and you can now catch him every weekday during All Things Considered on KGOU.

Until next time, with the Manager’s Minute, I’m Dick Pryor.

Dick Pryor has more than 25 years of experience in public service media, having previously served as deputy director, managing editor, news manager, news anchor and host for OETA, Oklahoma’s statewide public TV network. He was named general manager of KGOU Radio in November, 2016.
