This is the Manager’s Minute.
Loyal NPR listeners see the value in well-sourced and well-told stories from here and around the world.
But there was a time before NPR, and this week we’re celebrating the 50th anniversary of NPR and the debut of NPR’s first news magazine program – All Things Considered.
It was called National Public Radio then – when this fresh afternoon news show first went on the air with reports about anti-Vietnam war protests on May 3rd, 1971.
All Things Considered caught on and Morning Edition debuted eight years later.
Now, NPR is America’s most loved and most trusted news service brand, and KGOU is proud to be Your NPR Source.
With the Manager’s Minute, I’m Dick Pryor.
