Kojo Nnamdi is a Washington, D.C. legend. He’s hosted on WAMU 88.5, our home station, for over 20 years.

There’s no one we’d rather talk to about our home city, a place that has seen so many protests during his time as a journalist.

“It just feels amazing out here. The energy is amazing, everybody is having fun, there’s no drama, no violence, no anything like that,” D.C. native Aiyah-Don told WAMU 88.5 about the demonstrations against racism and police brutality.

We talk to the  The Kojo Nnamdi Show host about the past and present of protests in D.C, and whether this series feels different than the ones that came before.
