This is the Manager’s Minute.
Labor Day is dedicated to the achievements of American workers, and the contributions they’ve made to the strength and prosperity of our nation. A strong work ethic is part of the Oklahoma culture – our state motto “Labor Omnia Vincit” - is Latin for “Work Conquers All.”
So, this Labor Day, we salute workers here and around the nation.
Labor Day is also the unofficial launch date for the Fall election season – when voters typically start to pay attention to politics, and candidates accelerate the pace of their campaigns.
This election year, KGOU and our StateImpact Oklahoma partners will again be focusing on politics through Oklahoma Engaged. Our goal is to deliver meaningful reporting that focuses more on voters than candidates, people more than politicians, and provides insight into voter behavior.
If you have an election-related question e-mail us at news@kgou.org.
Thanks for listening.
With the Manager’s Minute, I’m Dick Pryor.
