Coca-Cola is behind an effort to promote physical activity over calorie counting, according to a report out today by the New York Times.

The report says Coca-Cola has teamed up with scientists to support a nonprofit called the Global Energy Balance Network. The company’s sales have been lagging, and critics say the message is designed to reverse Coke’s image as a contributor to the obesity epidemic.

The Atlantic’s senior editor, Derek Thompson, joins Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson to discuss the study.
