Thunder Jersey Honors Tornado Victims

Oklahoma City Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder will wear special uniforms during summer league competitions to honor those affected by the violent tornadoes that hit the state in May.

The Thunder revealed the jersey on Friday. The team will debut the special uniforms at the Orlando Pro Summer League on Tuesday, when the Thunder faces off against the Detroit Pistons.

The team will wear the commemorative jerseys for all home contests during summer league competition.

The uniform was designed to represent the strength and resiliency of Oklahomans. The jersey features an outline of the state of Oklahoma with a Thunder logo in the center.

Dozens of people were killed in tornadoes and storms that struck between May 19 and May 31.
