Moore-Lindsay House Museum to Host 2nd Annual Tartan Day Celebration on April 18
Norman, OK — The Moore-Lindsay House Museum invites the community to celebrate Scottish heritage at its 2nd Annual Tartan Day Celebration on Saturday, April 18, from 1:00–4:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, welcoming families and visitors of all ages to enjoy an afternoon of Scottish culture, music, and hands-on activities.
Guests will experience a lively celebration featuring traditional Scottish music with bagpipes, Scottish dancers, and a live weaving demonstration showcasing historic textile traditions. Visitors can also enjoy food from food trucks and participate in whiskey tastings for adults.
Families and children will have the opportunity to explore Scottish culture through interactive crafts and cultural activities designed especially for kids, making this a fun and educational experience for the entire community.
“Tartan Day is a wonderful way for us to celebrate and share Scottish heritage with our community,” said museum representatives. “We’re excited to bring back this event for a second year with music, demonstrations, food, and activities that highlight the traditions and stories that connect our community to Scotland.”
The event will take place on the grounds of the historic Moore-Lindsay House Museum, a Victorian-era home that serves as a museum dedicated to preserving and sharing Norman’s local history through exhibits, programs, and community events.
