Despite promises in the "Contract with America" to cut back on overnment spending, some Republican members of Congress have fought to keep ersonal pet projects funded by federal dollars. NPR's Jon Greenberg reports hat there are an abundance of "pork barrel" programs that have escaped the fate f the Republican chopping block.
