American soldiers in the 10th Mountain Division helped turn the war for the Allies in World War II. They did so by climbing Riva Ridge, an Italian ridge the Nazi’s thought was unclimbable.
Some of their descendants from Colorado, where the soldiers trained, recently attempted to climb the historic ridge.
