On August 13, Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) - Oklahoma Chapter along with the Pakistani American Community of Oklahoma is organizing a Pakistan Independence Day celebration event at the Scissortail Park from 7:00 - 11:00 pm which will be open to everyone - There will be live music, kids' performances, retailers including food trucks serving Zabiha/Halal food (burgers, hotdogs, chicken tenders, tacos, etc.), Pakistani food items and arts and crafts.

City and State elected officials along with local media outlets have been invited to this event. Please note this is a free event open to everyone. Please bring your lawn chairs and get to know the Pakistani Community of Oklahoma!
