The Norman Singers Spring Concert
In it's 43rd year, the Norman Singers present "Hearing Voices", a spring concert highlighting choral works written/arranged by musicians who have (historically) been considered members of marginalized groups. The concert's primary work is the "Mariachi Mass", written in 1970 and composed by A. Avalos. Songs from cultures such as the Yoruba, Iranian, Azerbaijani, and Saami are performed alongside songs composed by African-American and female American composers. Please join us!
