Oklahoma Youth Orchestras to Host Second Annual Young Virtuosos: An Evening of Chamber Music at The Fordson Hotel

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - Oklahoma Youth Orchestras announces their second annual fundraising event, “Young Virtuosos: An Evening of Chamber Music” at The Fordson Hotel (900 W. Main Street) on March 22, 2026 from 5:30 PM-7:00 PM. The evening offers chamber music performances from Oklahoma’s premier emerging musical talents, accompanied by drinks and hors d’oeuvres. OKYO launched its first Young Virtuosos event last year, rallying strong community support for its flagship ensemble, OYO’s European tour. Thanks to this generosity, students have performed in Prague, Vienna, and Salzburg, offering a transformative international experience in cities teeming with music history.

This fundraising event aims to secure the necessary resources to broaden access to high-quality music education, providing financial assistance to students for membership dues, helping to maintain a staff of exceptional music educators, and ensuring student participation in future ensemble tours.

“This organization has given me so much,” says Kinley Collum, president of OKYO’s Student Leadership Council. “More than anything, I am thankful for the people who make all of this possible. I owe so much of my future in music to those who believe in us – middle school and high school students who dream of doing something small or something great with their music.”

Oklahoma Youth Orchestras (OKYO) is a 501(c)3 non profit organization featuring twelve ensembles and a summer camp that serves a diverse student body of over 400 young musicians from across the state of Oklahoma.
