An all American OU gymnast testified before Congress Wednesday about the FBI’s failure to fully investigate Larry Nassar, the disgraced USA Gymnastics team doctor who was convicted for sexually assaulting female athletes.

Maggie Nichols was blunt in her testimony before Congress.

"This conduct by these FBI agents, including the special agent in charge, is unacceptable, disgusting and shameful," said Nichols.

Nichols told the Senate Judiciary Committee Wednesday that even though she reported Nassar to leaders of USA Gymnastics and the FBI, nothing was done about his behavior.

"I reported my abuse to USA Gymnastics over six years ago. And still my family and I received few answers and have even more questions about how this was allowed to occur and why dozens of other little girls and women had to be abused after I reported."

Nassar was convicted of sexually assaulting multiple gymnasts and sentenced to more than 100 years in prison in 2018. But nobody else has been charged for the flawed investigation that allowed the former doctor to molest young female athletes for years.
