Bacone College in Muskogee County; the Kennedy Mansion in Okmulgee; the Oklahoma A&M College Dairy Barn in Stillwater; the Fox Hotel in Skiatook; the Town House Hotel in Oklahoma City; and a rural separate school in Cleveland County have been added to the National Register of Historic Places.
Amanda DeCort, the city of Tulsa's preservation planner, told the Tulsa World the register catalogs buildings, districts, sites and structures that "are significant to our past and worthy of preservation."
To be listed, a property must have historic and architectural integrity and be associated with a significant event or person, have distinctive architectural characteristics or possess significant information such like archaeological sites.
