Suspicious packages that were hand-delivered to some lawmakers' offices prompted a temporary lockdown of the Oklahoma Capitol.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Lt. John Vincent says the lockdown was lifted Wednesday afternoon after it was determined there was no longer a threat.
Vincent says no one was allowed in or out of the building for about an hour as a precaution in case there were any dangerous contaminants in the packages. Vincent says members of the patrol's bomb squad tested the packages and determined they were harmless.
Gov. Mary Fallin's office also was shut down Wednesday, but a spokesman referred all questions about the matter to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
