Oklahoma’s entire U.S. House delegation voted with their Republican colleagues yesterday to establish a new investigation of the deadly assault in Benghazi, Libya.

Four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, died in the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission.

U.S. Rep. and U.S. Senate candidate James Lankford (R-Okla. 5) said the probe into Benghazi isn't a political issue, but proper Congressional oversight.

Republicans have accused the Obama administration of misleading the American people about the nature of the attack during a presidential campaign and stonewalling multiple congressional inquiries.

Congressman Tom Cole (R-Okla. 4) says recent White House emails make it even more important to know what really happened and demand accountability.

House Democrats are meeting today to decide whether to participate or boycott the election-year inquiry of a tragedy they accuse Republicans of politicizing.
