State Rep. Richard Morrissette announced Tuesday that a public hearing regarding the “actions and decisions” of the state Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision has been postponed. The hearing was originally scheduled for Dec. 4, with the new date not yet determined.
The hearing was scheduled to review some decisions made regarding the board’s handling of a case against Dr. Anagnost, a Tulsa orthopedic surgeon.
The deferral of the hearing is a result of Morrissette, D-Oklahoma City, requesting more time to review documents he received after asking the board for some records pertaining to the case, according to a press release.
“After a cursory examination of those documents, and in view of the gravity of the situation, I have concluded that more time is needed to prepare for the hearing,” said Morrissette.
