On April 10, 1995 KENNETH S. STERN, the American Jewish Committee's advisor on hate groups warned authorities that some kind of "incident" is likely to occur on April 19, 1995. The second anniversary of the Waco fire. He was proved right. A bomb destroyed the Federal building in Oklahoma City. The bombing raised the suspicion that the bombing suspect, Timothy McVeigh might have ties to a militia. Stern's has written, "A Force Upon The Plain: The American Militia Movement and the Politics of Hate" which has been published by Simon and Schuster. It is an attempt at providing a definitive history of the Militia Movement. Stern was Director of the National Organization Against Terrorism and is also the author of "Loud Hawk: The United States versus the American Indian Movement" and "Holocaust Denial." Stern lives with his family in New York City.

Chief trial counsel for the Southern Poverty Law Center and its Militia Task Force, MORRIS DEES. His group has been monitoring the activity of militia and extremist groups. In fact, six months before the Oklahoma City Bombing DEES warned the U.S. Attorney General that the militia movement posed a serious threat. His new book is "Gathering Storm: America's Militia Threat," (HarperCollins). (THIS INTERVIEW CONTINUES INTO THE SECOND HALF OF THE SHOW).
