Dallas Cowboys
Two members of the Dallas Cowboys football team are being investigated on charges of sexual assault. A twenty-three year old woman has accused offensive lineman Erik Williams and wide reciever Michael Irvin of assaulting her. The investigation is the latest in a series of legal troubles for members of the Dallas Cowboys. Glenn Mitchell of member station KERA in Dallas reports on the charges, and what they might mean for the Cowboys, who are preparing for Sunday's second-round playoff game against the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte.
Auld Lang Syne
In an interview first aired on December 31st, 1991, Robert talks to Hugh McDonald, head of music for BBC Radio Scotland, about the correct pronunciation of the phrase "Auld Lang Syne." McDonald says that the majority of people who will sing that song as the old year passes away will pronounce the word "syne" as "zyne," which is incorrect; the correct pronunciation is "sine" (as in cosine and tangent). We also hear a performance of the song by Irish singer Susan McKeown (muh-KEEN) and bassist Lindsey Horner to a melody different from the one we are used to hearing. They also perform the song on a cassette, "Through the Bitter Frost and Snow."

Rwanda Reaction
Danny speaks to Rwanda's Ambassador to the United States, Theogene Rudasingwa. The Rwandan diplomat says the return of the refugees back home obviates the need for a multinational force, whose original mission was to secure the refugees against attacks by Hutu militiamen. With the militamen now on the run, Rudasingwa says his country can be responsible for security. But he now wants international donors who sustained the refugees in their camps to give the funds to Rwanda for their resettlement.
. Eddie Harris Remembered
We remember tenor sax player Eddie Harris with the eprise of an interview we first broadcast in l992. Harris was the first to roduce a gold-selling jazz record and also recorded an historic jam session at ontreux (MON-trow) with Les McCann that produced the song "Compared to What". arris died in Los Angeles on November fifth.
