KGOU Funding Sources

KGOU is Your NPR Source

This is the Manager’s Minute.

KGOU receives funding from a variety of sources: Membership – contributions from listeners who are members of KGOU - and underwriting - also called business sponsorships – are the largest sources of financial support.

KGOU also receives funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting – which funds stations for two years after authorization - The University of Oklahoma Outreach/College of Continuing Education, vehicle donations, grants and gifts.

Details about contributing to KGOU can be found under “Support” at kgou.org. We have a new page that explains KGOU’s Planned Giving program. Planned giving is an important way supporters can create a legacy by designating a gift to KGOU in their estate plan.

For more information on planned giving contact Development Director Jolly Brown at development@kgou.org.

With the Manager’s Minute, I’m Dick Pryor.
