Westbrook broke the single season triple double record, reaching double digits in points scored, rebounds and assists in 42 games this season. He was the first to average a triple double on the season in 45 years.

In his acceptance speech, he called his teammates in attendance to the stage.

"These are my brothers, man,” he said. “These guys sacrifice so much for me throughout the year. It was obviously an amazing season for me. But without these guys, and the rest of our guys who aren’t here, none of this is possible”
