The founder and president of an Oklahoma defense contractor has been indicted on federal charges in connection with the sale of a paint remover to Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City and Corpus Christi Army Depot in Texas.

Christopher Houston Hensley is charged with bribery, conspiracy to commit bribery and making false statements to the federal government.

Defense attorney Mack Martin said Hensley will plead not guilty and "vigorously defend" himself.

The indictment alleges Hensley bribed officials who influenced the purchase of the paint remover that's used on aircraft and that he falsely reported that the paint remover met military performance specifications.

Spokesmen at Tinker Air Force Base and Corpus Christi Army Depot each said base officials will be watching the case closely, but declined further comment.
