Friends of the Guthrie Public Library Celebrate 40 Years of Community Involvement and Annual Used Book Sale
The Friends of the Guthrie Public Library are proud to celebrate 40 years of supporting literacy and community engagement with their annual Used Book Sale, a beloved tradition and the organization’s primary fundraiser.
The event will kick off on Friday, February 6, 2026, with the annual meeting of the Friends beginning at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be followed immediately by a members-only presale. During this year’s meeting, members will also vote on new bylaws.
As in past years, the Used Book Sale will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the First United Presbyterian Church, located at 102 E. Noble Street in Guthrie.
The book sale will be open to the public on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In
celebration of the Friends’ 40th anniversary, an exciting new sale day has been added. On Sunday,
February 8, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., shoppers can enjoy a $5.00 bag sale, with bags provided.
Proceeds from the Used Book Sale directly benefit the Guthrie Public Library, helping fund programs, materials, and services for the community.
