Interested in learning how to shoot a shotgun—or want to brush up on your skills? Join the Red Dirt Sisters Women on the Wing Chapter for a FREE Learn to Shoot Clinic designed for women of all ages and skill levels.
Whether you're brand new to shooting, looking to build confidence, or simply want to spend an afternoon outdoors with other women who share an interest in hunting and conservation, this clinic is for you! Our experienced volunteers and instructors will guide participants through the fundamentals in a welcoming, supportive environment.
What the free clinic includes:• Firearm safety discussion• Shotgun basics and handling• Shooting fundamentals• Range time with individual instruction
Equipment: All equipment will be provided. If you already own a shotgun and shells, you are welcome to bring them.
Who should attend: Women of all experience levels, from complete beginners to experienced shooters, are encouraged to attend. Youth under 18 are welcome but must attend with a guardian.
Registration: This event is FREE, but registration is required to ensure we have enough instructors and equipment available.

Lectures, readings, and discussions will focus on: 1) human intersex variationsand infant genital surgeries, 2) how we alter our bodies to make them morefeminine or masculine, 3) do human brains differ according to sex, gender, orsexual orientation? 4) unisexual, intersex, hermaphroditic, and sex-changinganimals, 5) sex testing in women’s sports, and 6) current laws and regulationsrelated to biological sex.

The public is invited to a free presentation, Q&A and book signing with renowned paleontologist Dr. Matt Wedel at 6 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m.) on Friday, May 8. Titled Crowns of the Cretaceous: The Horned Dinosaurs, Wedel’s discussion will focus on ceratopsian dinosaurs and the world‑class fossil specimens preserved at the museum — including a new Hollywood celebrity he helped to discover.
A leading sauropod specialist and co‑author of several landmark dinosaur discoveries, Wedel will discuss the origins and evolution of horned ceratopsian dinosaurs, including the famous Triceratops as well as the breakout star Aquilops americanus — the earliest known ceratopsian dinosaur in North America and most recently cast as “Dolores,” the pet‑like backpack dinosaur in Jurassic World: Rebirth. The program will also highlight the museum’s world‑famous Pentaceratops skull, the largest skull of any land animal ever discovered.
Dr. Wedel’s May 8 lecture is free and open to the public.

The exhibit Bizarre Headgear presents evolution to the extreme. 12 foot antlers and billboard sized heads are just some of the dramatic examples of bizarre headgear on display. See the amazing ways evolution has equipped the prehistoric animal world for combat and courtship. From the evolution of giant horned dinosaurs to their outrageous mammalian counterparts, this exhibit traces evolution of bizarre head structures throughout time.
Learn Bridge in a Day?© is a nationally recognized, hands‑on workshop that delivers a fast, engaging introduction to the fundamental concepts of bridge. Participants will enjoy a whirlwind tour of the greatest—and brainiest—card game ever invented.
A light lunch will be served at noon, and each participant will receive a textbook. People of all ages are welcome, including teens and mature preteens. Bring a friend or make new ones—no partner required. Come play cards with us!
