This is from the Manager’s Desk.

I want to celebrate the growth of KGOU Radio over these many years, so I am inviting you to a party.

Come to my celebration on Thursday, September 29th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sam Noble Museum. We’ll have some music from Mary Sallee, refreshments, and good words for each other. I’ll have an update about our capital campaign to replace the KROU transmitter.

The museum is at 2401 Chautauqua Avenue in Norman, and parking is free. The party is made possible by the University of Oklahoma Outreach, Sam Noble Museum and KGOU.

There are no tickets to purchase, but we do need to have RSVPs so we can plan.Click here to go to the RSVP page where you can register for the party or leave some comments.  Click the link above for directions to the Sam Noble Museum.

I hope to see you there.

Thanks!  From the Manager’s Desk, I’m Karen Holp.

Karen earned her Master (1974) and Bachelor (1972) degrees from the University of Akron in Ohio, and has worked as Program Director at WMRA-FM, James Madison University in Harrisonburg Virginia and WUIS-FM, University of Illinois at Springfield. She moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico in 1979 to become General Manager of KRWG-FM.
