The House Economic Development and Financial Services Committee will kick-off this year’s interim studies Wednesday when it takes up one of the seven studies it is assigned. The committee will meet again one week later to hear two more studies.

The committee will consider Interim Study 14H-11, concerning the licensing of Oklahoma Home Builders during a morning session. The study was requested by Rep. Mark McBride, R-Moore.

Interim Study 14H-62, which was requested by Rep. Jonathan Echols, R-Oklahoma City and was scheduled to be heard Wednesday afternoon, was pulled Monday from the committee’s agenda for that day. The study will focus on the construction registry act.

On August 13, the committee will take up House Interim Study 14H-15, regarding cemeteries, which was requested by Rep. Lee Denney, R- Cushing, and Rep. Marty Quinn, R-Claremore, during its morning session.

The afternoon session will focus on Denney’s Interim Study 14H-18, addressing the future Oklahoma Arts Council.
