Bernie Sanders Calls On Clinton To Release Transcripts, Champions 'Community' At OKC Rally

Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders made an appearance Sunday in downtown Oklahoma City. The Vermont Senator cheered a “political revolution” during his most recent visit to the Sooner State, which drew thousands of young voters.

Sanders’ appearance in Oklahoma was the second within a week as he tried to gain voters ahead of Super Tuesday.

During his speech at the Cox Convention Center, Sanders highlighted differences between himself and his opponent Hillary Clinton. He boasted the average contribution for his campaign is $27.

“We have shown if you stand up for working families, working families will stand with us,” Sanders said.

He criticized Clinton’s use of Super-PACs and knocked her for making $200,000 from a speech she gave to Wall Street.

“This is what I think, if you're going to get paid $200,000 for a speech, it must be a pretty damn good speech,” Sanders said.

“And if it’s such a good speech, you gotta release the transcripts. Let everybody see ‘em.”

The self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist also called for universal healthcare, free college tuition, investing in America’s infrastructure and reforming the nation’s criminal justice system.

“We are going to invest, for our young people, in education and jobs, not more jails or more incarceration,” Sanders said.

Standing in front of a crowd holding signs that read “Latinas for Bernie,” “Brownies for Bernie” and “Natives for Bernie,” Sanders emphasized the importance of unity.

“We will win because bringing people together trumps divisiveness. We will win because community trumps selfishness. And mostly, most importantly, we will win because love trumps hatred.”
