New StateImpact Reporter Highlights End Of Year Staff Changes

This is the Manager’s Minute.

With the semester at the University of Oklahoma ending, we have to say so long to students who’ve been part of our KGOU team. Cate Howell and Beth Wallis made significant contributions doing community calendars and news reporting. Two students who’ve served as on-air hosts are graduating - Tristen Watkins and Ryan Gaylor. Tristen handled mid-days and audio production and Ryan reported on state government and hosted local segments in All Things Considered.

Looking ahead, we’re pleased to announce we’ve hired Beth Wallis as StateImpact Oklahoma’s Environment and Science Reporter. Beth started in her new full-time position this week.

And, KGOU has a new student employee you’ll be hearing soon – Dani Ingram. Dani is joining Gabriela Tumani as on-air host. Gabriela will return for another semester at KGOU in January.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas.

With the Manager’s Minute, I’m Dick Pryor.
