he City of Midwest City and the Juneteenth Midwest City Committee is proud to announce that we are hosting the first ever Juneteenth Midwest City Family Festival. The Juneteenth Midwest City Family Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 17th, 2023, between 3PM to 8 PM at the Joe B. Barnes Regional Park. The Juneteenth Midwest City Festival will be a free family friendly event aimed at celebration, education, culture and unity. Juneteenth, which commemorates the emancipation of African Americans has been observed for nearly 156 years and was declared a federal holiday in 2021. Our event will be one of the few official celebrations taking place on June 17th across our great state and all are welcomed.

The festival will include top-notch band performances, contests, children’s activities, vendor booths, adult games, free food for our attendees and the first Little Miss Juneteenth Midwest City pageant. This will truly be a community effort.
