Plant Walk

Plant Walk

Take a walk with us to learn about the plants in Mitch Park! Dr. Caddell will be sharing her extensive knowledge of plants with us, and we will be contributing our findings to the Parks for Pollinators 2025: Mitch Park VIRTUAL BioBlitz using the free iNaturalist App.

If you'd like to watch a tutorial on using iNaturalist, you can find that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xENz1xRu0wI

Join the Parks for Pollinators 2025: Mitch Park BioBlitz project to document your findings!

A few helpful notes for the Plant Walk:

We will meet at the parking lot of the Mathis Skate Park and walk on trails from there. Click here for a Google Maps Pin of the location.
Please register each person attending this program. Limited spaces are available, and if you are not able to attend after registering please notify us by calling so we can open the spot up on the roster.
Dress weather-appropriate and wear comfortable walking shoes.
If you will be utilizing any insect repellents, please apply them in the parking lot or at home, not near plants and wildlife in the park.
Be sure to bring enough drinking water for your group.
