This series of workshops features outdoor experts and enthusiasts who will guide you through various outdoors-related topics and activities. Trail13 is here to help you become more knowledgeable and confident when recreating outside!
Each month we will be introduced to outdoor equipment, concepts, and skills. Each program includes an added bonus of a chance at bringing a cool new piece of gear home to practice your new skills with!
Bonus!!! This month, one participant will be leaving with a new, portable grill/fire pit!

This new event will feature a guided nature walk around the Farm focusing on native trees. We are excited to have Brian Dougherty, Licensed Landscape Architect and former Director of Parks & Public Spaces at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, lead the walk and share his knowledge while we look at native trees found on the farm.
This event is FREE, but registration is required. This event involves walking on potentially uneven terrain, so please prepare accordingly!

READY? SET. EAT!Join us on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 as we celebrate all things chili!
From mild to spicy, we'll have all kinds of homemade chili for you to sample. Doors Open for Tasting @ 5:30pm. This is event is perfect for the whole family! No RSVP needed.

Campfire 101 will teach you about campfire safety and the key ingredients you need to create a fire. Gain knowledge and hands-on experience in this valuable outdoors skill.

Cap off Oktoberfest at Fassler Hall with an all you can eat and drink event. Featuring live music by Hosty; come enjoy an evening filled with food, friends, fun, and German bier! Doors open at 6pm and food will be served promptly at 7pm.

A SPOOK-TACULAR EVENT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!Join us on Monday, October 31, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm as we trick or treat the trunks.
With decorated trunks and stations in our main parking lot, you and your family can have a safe and fun trick or treat. This is event is perfect for the whole family! No RSVP needed.
*Event is all weather. Event may end early if all trunks have been tricked out of treats.

Are you interested in bird watching but have no idea how to start? Our new Bird Walk for Beginners event aims to lessen the learning curve for new birders. Attendees will go on a guided walk of the Mollie Spencer Farm with experienced birders from the Oklahoma City Audubon Society. The expert birders will discuss the basics of birding, including how to listen for bird calls and properly use binoculars. Attendees will also receive a Mollie Spencer Farm Bird Checklist, developed by the Ornithology Department at the Sam Noble Museum, so you can keep track of all the birds you see!
Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring their own binoculars to this event. A limited number of binoculars will be available on a first come, first served basis.
