Yukon's City Park Football Field is the setting for a nighttime egg hunt on Friday, April 11th (for children ages 10 & under).

Preregistration is required. Those registered receive a flashlight.

Schedule:

• Ages 1-3: 7:00 p.m.
• Ages 4-6: 7:30 p.m.
• Ages 7-10: 8:00 p.m.

The Trash Bash is Broken Arrow's litter cleanup day in which groups of people volunteer to beautify their neighborhoods by picking up trash and debris from our roads and waterways.

The biannual Recycling Rally is a recycling drop-off event for hard-to-recycle items like electronics, sharps, batteries, tires (limit of 10), and more!

You do not need to sign up or volunteer to clean up litter to participate in the drive-through Recycling Rally. Just show up with your recyclables and our friendly volunteers will remove the item(s) from your car and you'll be good to go.

We will be collecting the following recyclable items at the Broken Arrow Maintenance Center Saturday, April 12th, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.:

Tires (limit of 10 tires: no tractor tires, no tires with rims)
Pharmaceuticals
Cardboard
Electronics/E-waste ($26 for TVs, $10 for monitors; all others free)
Batteries
Plastic grocery bags
Sharps
Ammunition (50 caliber or less only)
Paper shredding (limit of 3 boxes)
Fire Extinguishers

Calling all aspiring bird enthusiasts! Join us for the Bird Walk for Beginners on May 3rd at 8:00 a.m. This event at the Mollie Spencer Farm, led by seasoned birders from the Oklahoma City Audubon Society, will kick-start your birding journey. Discover local avian species and learn to identify bird calls while enjoying a walk around our beautiful farm! Bring your own binoculars or use ours on a first-come, first-served basis. Dress comfortably and get ready to immerse yourself in nature!

Celebrate the beauty of spring with us on May 17th at our Spring Open House! From 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., discover the heart of our farm, enjoying the beauty of the property as you embark on a self-guided tour to our pond, apiary, and pollinator and vegetable gardens. Say hello to our friendly sheep, donkeys, horses, and goats along the way. The Open House will also feature a Coffee & Conversation about water gardens, during which local experts will discuss how to create and care for water gardens and ponds. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, animal lover, or simply curious about sustainable gardening practices, our Spring Open House promises a great experience for all!

The Oklahoma Native Plant Society is sponsoring its first annual T.O.N.Y. - Tour of OKC Native Yards - held May 24, 2025 9 am- 3 pm. It will include five NW OKC home gardens that showcase the use of native plants for landscaping. Local plant vendors will be at each home selling native plants. Food trucks and more plant vendors will be at Rollingwood Park near NW 63rd and Meridian.
