The beloved Rush Springs Watermelon Festival and Rodeo will be held the second Saturday of August. This event draws over 20,000 visitors annually for a full weekend of classic and fresh watermelon—more than 50,000 pounds served each year.

The festival kicks off with the rodeo on Thursday and Friday, then returns Saturday for a full day of activities including a seed-spitting contest, arts and crafts fair, carnival rides, and plenty of local watermelon varieties like Black Diamond and Royal Sweet.
