Now in its 28th year, the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival has become a cornerstone event in Oklahoma and a respected gathering for folk and Americana music fans from around the world. The Woody Guthrie Coalition, Inc. is pleased to announce that this year’s festival will take place July 9–12, 2025, in Woody Guthrie’s hometown of Okemah, Oklahoma.

The 2025 festival will open with An Evening with Hayes Carll and Evan Felker on Wednesday, July 9. Sarah Lee Guthrie, granddaughter of Woody Guthrie, will perform an opening set.

Additional confirmed performers include John Moreland, BJ Barham, Red Dirt Rangers, Kyshona, Margo Cilker, Jaimee Harris, Aaron Lee Tasjan, and Pony Bradshaw.

In addition to live music, WoodyFest will again feature a wide range of free educational
programming from voices including Tamara Logsdon, the Bob Dylan Center, Deana McCloud, Chad Cochran, Barry Ollman, Dr. Hugh Foley, and the Woody Guthrie Center, among others.

Free family-friendly programming will continue with the return of the Children’s Festival at Okemah’s City Park on Saturday, July 12, offering a variety of free activities for kids of all ages.
