Tonic Brings New Music Mix To KGOU

This is the Manager’s Minute.

For many years you’ve been able to listen to blues, jazz and music from around the world on KGOU. Now, there’s a new sound for you to enjoy, an all-new music program produced just for KGOU.

It’s called Tonic: The Funky Groove Show.

Produced and hosted by Michael Bendure, Tonic features a fresh take on instrumental funk, groove, soul, disco, jazz, hip hop and more - dating back to the early Sixties.

Whether you’re getting reacquainted with old favorites or discovering funk and groove for the very first time, the music of Tonic is meant to help you feel good.

Listen Friday nights at 9:00 on KGOU and follow Tonic: The Funky Groove Show on Facebook.

Until next time, with the Manager’s Minute, I’m Dick Pryor.

Dick Pryor has more than 30 years of experience in public service media, having previously served as deputy director, managing editor, news manager, news anchor and host for OETA, Oklahoma’s statewide public TV network. He was named general manager of KGOU Radio in November 2016.
