KGOU Is Your Home For Diverse Music

This is the Manager’s Minute.

KGOU is known for news. After all, we are Your NPR source.

But, we’re also your place for music.

KGOU offers distinctly American blues, jazz and groove, and music from around the world.

As he has for more than 25 years, Hardluck Jim hits just the right notes with The Weekend Blues.

Chad Mitchell has also been a weekend mainstay with Global Jazz Wire on Saturday nights. Now, we’re freshening that show and giving it a new name that focuses on the idea of musical exploration. It’s now called Global Sojourn. Come along as Chad guides us around the globe on a journey of discovery.

Our newest music program is on Friday nights – Tonic: The Funky Groove Show. Michael Bendure serves up an instrumental mix of funk, groove and soul sounds to start your weekend right.

Yes, KGOU is Your NPR Source, and your home for distinctive music, too.

Crank it up...and thanks for listening.

With the Manager’s Minute, I’m Dick Pryor.
