Updated July 26, 2015

Few details are known about the two brothers who killed their parents and three siblings in their Broken Arrow, Oklahoma home this past week.

The Tulsa World reports that neighbors describe them as a family that keeps to themselves, and the children were rarely seen outside the house.

Robert Bever, 18, and his 16-year-old brother, Michael, stabbed their parents and three siblings to death Wednesday night. The Tulsa World learned the name of Michael Bever through a Tulsa County jail employee. The Broken Arrow police department has not officially released his name.

The children who were killed have been identified as 12-year-old Daniel Bever, 7-year-old Christopher Bever, and 5-year-old Victoria Bever. A 13-year-old sister was badly injured in the attack but survived. A 2-year-old girl, Autumn, was found unharmed.

From the Tulsa World:

Matt Jacobsen, 35, described April Bever, 44, as “very much a mother hen.” “The only odd thing is they kept to themselves,” Jacobsen said. But even then, he noted, it’s not as odd these days, with kids more apt to stay inside, tied to technology. He remembers the suspects Robert and Michael Bever as being “extremely smart, very intelligent.” The two, ages 18 and 16, respectively, shared a love of computers with their 52-year-old father, Jacobsen said.

The 13-year-old girl who survived a knife attack in her home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma identified her older brothers as her attackers.

The girl, whose name has not been released, called 911 Wednesday night and told police her brother was attacking her family, according to a police report.

When officers responded to the home, they found blood on or near the front porch. They could hear a faint voice calling for help from inside the house. After officers forced entry, they immediately found the wounded girl laying on the floor with multiple stab wounds. She was able to tell officers at that time that her brothers, 18-year-old Robert Bever and an unidentified 16-year-old, attacked her and her family.

Officers soon located the five dead family members, who all died of multiple stab wounds. They found a small unharmed girl, 2, in the upstairs part of  the house.

According the police report, officers found fresh footprints in the family's backyard, leading away from the house. K-9 units tracked and found the two suspects in a wooded area behind the home.

The thirteen-year-old girl was taken to St. Francis Tulsa and the small girl was placed in protective custody.

According to a Broken Arrow Police Department press release, the suspects are cooperating with detectives and will be transported to the Tulsa County Jail.

A pair of teenage brothers are accused in the stabbing deaths of their parents and three siblings in their suburban Tulsa home, according to The Tulsa World.

Authorities accuse 18-year-old Robert Bever and his unidentified 16-year-old brother in the deaths of their parents, 52-year-old David Bever and 44-year-old April Bever. Three younger siblings also died in the home in Broken Arrow - two boys aged 9 and 12 years, and a 5 year old girl. Another sibling, a 13-year-old girl, was badly wounded but survived. She was transported to a hospital where she underwent surgery. She is in serious but stable condition. Police found a 2-year-old girl in the house who was unharmed.

Broken Arrow police corporal Leon Calhoun said knives, a hatchet and other blades were found at the house.

From the Tulsa World:

The bodies were discovered about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday inside a two-story residence in the 700 block of Magnolia Court after officers were dispatched for a welfare check to investigate "an unknown problem," police said. The residence is located in a subdivision on the city's south side near Indian Springs Country Club. Sgt. Thomas Cooper said officers responded after 911 operators received a call in which no one spoke but the line remained connected. Police traced the number to the home. The call was believed to be placed by the 13-year-old girl. Officers heard what appeared to be moaning coming from inside the home after knocking on the front door, Calhoun said. They forced entry and pulled the injured girl and two others outside. The two others ultimately were pronounced dead. Calhoun said it was apparent to officers the three others inside were dead. Cooper said police had not been called to the home for any domestic issue prior to Wednesday night.

Officers arrested the two brothers near the home. It took K-9 units about an hour to track them down, according to The Tulsa World.
