Welcoming New Members To The KGOU Team

This is the Manager’s Minute.

We’re pleased to introduce recent additions to our team whose names and voices may be familiar. Katelyn Howard has just joined KGOU as reporter/producer. She’s a recent Gaylord College graduate and had been a student employee at the station. She rose to the top of an impressive field of candidates from around the nation.

You’ve probably heard Logan Layden over the last several weeks. Logan has returned as managing editor for KGOU and StateImpact Oklahoma. He’s guiding our news direction and staff, and reporting.

And, on July 9th, Catherine Sweeney will join StateImpact Oklahoma as health reporter. She previously worked at The Journal Record and contributed to the Business Intelligence Report.

Reliable reporting is a critical element of the public service we provide, and we’re glad to welcome back Logan, Katelyn and Catherine to KGOU and Statempact.

With the Manager’s Minute, I’m Dick Pryor.

Dick Pryor has more than 30 years of experience in public service media, having previously served as deputy director, managing editor, news manager, news anchor and host for OETA, Oklahoma’s statewide public TV network. He was named general manager of KGOU Radio in November 2016.
