In this operatic adaptation of Henry James' chilling novella, the children of the Bly household eagerly welcome a new governess who initially finds them to be happy and well-adjusted. Soon, however, they begin to exhibit the strange behaviors of their former governess and valet. Both died in untimely accidents and now are appearing to the new governess as ghosts. Are the ghosts real? Did they do unspeakable things to the children? Or, is it all in her head? Contains adult themes and suggestions of sexual violence.
Single Tickets on sale beginning October 1, 2025

MAINSITE Contemporary Art is excited to announce "Wêwenetôni Shehkîtâkan: Ancestral Patterns Through Our Regalia" a group exhibition curated by Amber DuBoise-Shepherd. The show debuts with the opening reception on October 10 at 6:00 pm, coinciding with Norman's 2nd Friday Art Walk, and runs through November 14.
"Wêwenetôni Shehkîtâkani: Ancestral Patterns Through Our Regalia, is an exhibition influenced by my late grandmother, Adeline Ketcheshawno DuBoise, who was born for her people of the Prairie Band Potawatomi, Sac & Fox, Kickapoo, and Absentee Shawnee... For this exhibition I wanted to share her work alongside other Indigenous fashion designers, weavers, jewelers, and painters, each sharing their ancestral patterns of their people and their families... The clothing, woven belts, and jewelry they create are more than just objects admired for their skill and beauty—they are to be respected and honored, as they carry the ancestral patterns, designs, and memories of our people. I trust this exhibition will urge viewers to look and engage more deeply with our creations beyond the surface level of the materials. They let viewers know that these creations exist beyond the past and are rooted in memory continuing to carrying our families and our nation’s people forward"

Dare to step into the shadows and uncover a world of monsters in the museum. Listen closely for mysterious footsteps and ghostly echoes in the galleries, shape-shift with glow-in-the-dark face painting, and build your own monster in a hands-on art activity inspired by hybrid creatures from ancient lore. Enjoy sweet treats along the way, but beware, there might be a trick or two lurking in the dark. Don’t miss out on this family-friendly event where discovering, playing, and creating take the spotlight.
Session 1: We’ll begin with a visit to "Dale Chihuly: The Oklahoma Collection," focusing on the distinctive shapes and forms in his artwork. In the classroom, participants will create their own Chihuly-inspired clay bowls using slump and slab techniques. The session will wrap up with time to refine each piece by smoothing surfaces or adding details.
Session 2: Our second session begins with another look at the exhibition, exploring Chihuly's use of color. In the studio, participants will refine their vessels by sanding and smoothing, then add lines, patterns, or other details before completing their bowls with vibrant glaze.
