KGOU Radio
Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication

This is the Manager’s Minute.

KGOU has a rich history of award winning journalism, and reporter/host Storme Jones is carrying on that tradition. Storme is a finalist for six awards in the National Broadcast Society student journalism competition. The national Grand Prize winners will be announced in March. Storme is a junior broadcast journalism major from Yukon.

Several other students from OU’s Gaylord College are also with us this semester.

Four in the Radio News class:

Ashley Eddy is a junior majoring in broadcast journalism.

Jaron Spor is a senior majoring in sports broadcasting.

Benji Vasquez and Collin Cook are seniors majoring in Creative Media Production.

Three Gaylord College students are in Practicum:

Shereen Hashem is a senior broadcast journalism major.

Nyk Wynes and Katie Reed are seniors in Creative Media Production.

Welcome to KGOU.

Until next time, with the Manager’s Minute, I’m Dick Pryor.

Dick Pryor has more than 30 years of experience in public service media, having previously served as deputy director, managing editor, news manager, news anchor and host for OETA, Oklahoma’s statewide public TV network. He was named general manager of KGOU Radio in November 2016.
