A major moving and relocation company has listed Oklahoma as one of the nation's most popular destinations for relocating households.
United Van Lines' 38th Annual National Movers Study ranks Oklahoma No. 9 on its list of top moving destinations during 2014.
The Tulsa World reports it's been almost two decades since Oklahoma has been listed as "high inbound." That's the classification the study uses for states where 55 percent or more of domestic household moves conducted by United Van Lines are for incoming persons.
For 2014, the study is based on household moves handled by United within the 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C. Oregon was tops on the list, while South Carolina and North Carolina were second and third, respectively. Texas was ranked seventh on the list.
